Derek grew up in Billings, Montana and has a love for this community. He was raised in a Christ-centered home and was saved by God in his young adult years. He spent three years in Bozeman at Montana State (Go Cats!) and finished his final year of college at MSU-B, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. He loves to play and listen to music of all kinds with his wife, Ashley, who is also a musician. God has blessed him with four wonderful years of marriage. Derek felt the Lord's call to ministry when he was in college, and he has been serving God wherever He would place him since then. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Derek and Ashley love spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and enjoying time with family.
